Man Sought In University City Sexual Assault

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A $5,000 reward is being offered for the capture of a man wanted for sexually assaulting and robbing two women inside their University City apartment Friday.

The alleged assault occurred at about 3 p.m. inside an apartment in the 4400 block of Spruce Street. Both victims are students at The University of Pennsylvania.

The suspect was reportedly allowed entry into the apartment by one of the female victims.

When the other victim returned home, she found her roommate bound and gagged in the apartment. The suspect robbed both of the victims and sexually assaulted one of them.

Both of the victims were taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment.

Investigators say the suspect is described as a black male, 6'0" tall, weighing about 200 lbs. He was reportedly carrying a knife and a handgun.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 215-546-TIPS.

Detectives believe the same man may be responsible for the sexual assault and robbery of a woman inside her apartment located at 9th and Clinton Streets on October 22.
