A former worker at a suburban Philadelphia sewer authority is accused of misappropriating more than $150,000 in taxpayer funds for her personal use.
Prosecutors say Tracy Connelly stole the money from the Conshohocken Sewer Authority to pay her rent and a car loan, support a rental property in New Jersey, and make unauthorized credit card purchases.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman has announced the filing of a criminal complaint against Connelly. Connelly was being arraigned Friday in Lafayette Hill on hundreds of counts, including identity theft, forgery and unlawful use of a computer.
Ferman says the thefts occurred over a two-year period while Connelly was an employee of the sewer authority.
