Mystery Object Crashes Into Truck On I-76

LOWER MERION, Pa. (CBS 3) ― A Montgomery County man is lucky to be alive after an unknown object obliterated his truck while he was driving on the Schuylkill Expressway last week.

The roof and windshield of Kevin Peta's pick-up truck was completely annihilated by the object as he was driving to work during Friday morning's rush hour.

"My window just blew in and glass blew in my face and I'm like 'what the heck was that?'" Peta said.

Fortunately, Peta was left without a scratch after the object struck his vehicle about head-high.

"I'm lucky it wasn't a little bit over because that would have been my head," Peta explained.

Peta said following the accident, there wasn't a single shred of evidence as to what demolished his car.

"It hit my truck and where did it go? No else got hit by it or it didn't cause another accident," Peta said.

Peta is hopeful a witness will come forward to explain what happened and shed some light on the mystery.
