Vandals Go On Destructive Spree In Montgomery Co.
LOWER PROVIDENCE TWP. (CBS 3) ―
Police in Montgomery County are searching for the vandals responsible for a spree of criminal destruction.
In all, police said there were 40 incidents totaling approximately $50,000 in damage in Lower Providence Township between late Monday evening and early Tuesday morning.
Investigators say someone -- or a group of people -- set an SUV on fire outside a home in the 3700 block of Worthington Street. The flamed extended to the home's garage.
According to police, the suspects vandalized cars parked on the block. Several cars had their tires slashed while others were broken into and damaged.
"I think it's reprehensible that individuals took it upon themselves to damage the personal property of people who work so hard to maintain their homes, to maintain their property," Chief Francis Carroll of the Lower Providence Township Police Department.
There were no reports of any injuries.
If you have any information, you are urged to call police.
