Several students have woken up late and are tired the next day. Teachers are no exception either.
Wednesday evening's game should be over much earlier than the usual midnight finish and City Councilman Jim Kenney wants to go even further by asking Major League Baseball to consider one game in the National League Series and one World Series game be a day game.
Kenney says MLB can potentially lose a generation of baseball fans who may lose interest because they can't watch the games since they start close to their bedtimes and end many times long after midnight.
He will introduce a resolution to city council Thursday and hope other cities follow suit.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education has announced school will be in session every day this week; even if a parade is held in Philadelphia to celebrate a World Series win by our Philadelphia Phillies.
Superintendent of Schools Mary E. Rochford said, "What an exciting time! While we join with the Phillies and the City of Philadelphia in celebrating this special victory, all schools within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will remain open and in session. Although schools will celebrate this event in their own individual ways, it will be within the context of a regular school day."
