Phillies 'Phestival' Aims To Strike Out ALS

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― The Phillies will hold their annual Phestival Monday night to help strike out ALS, the neuromuscular condition for which there is no known cause or cure.

The players and their wives will be on hand for the autograph an auction party. Fans will be able to take pictures with the players and the 2008 and 1980 World Series Trophies.

The event starts at 5 p.m. and a live auction starts at 8 p.m., with items such as game jerseys autographed by Cole Hamels and Ryan Howard and a 100th Anniversary Harley Davidson autographed by the 2009 Phillies team.

In 2008 alone the Phillies Phestival raised over $758,000.
