Philadelphia Police Officers Honored

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― It was a special morning for Philadelphia police officers who were recognized for going above the call of duty.

Mayor Michael Nutter was in attendance to honor 54 officers who were recognized for having made outstanding arrests while going above the call of duty, performing highly intelligent and valuable acts of police service.

Mayor Nutter offered 12 tickets to Tuesday night's Flyers game, to any of the officers honored this morning who could attend. The officers will sit in Mayor Nutter's box.  

Sergeant Stephen Liczbinski's family will also attend the game. The Flyers will pay tribute to the fallen officer prior to the game with a moment of silence. 


The Flyers take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in game three of the Eastern Conference Finals at 7:30 p.m. at the Wachovia Center.
