Woman Struck By Drunk Driver In Northeast Phily

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―

A woman was struck by a drunk driver in Northeast Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

The victim was reportedly standing next to another car when she was struck by a passing vehicle on Ashton Road.

A citizen saw this incident and forced the striking driver to pull over and called the police. When police responded they took to striking driver into custody on suspected drunk driving and later charged the driver with a D.U.I.

The 20-year-old female was taken to Frankford Torresdale Hospital in critical condition.
