Charges Filed In Overbrook Tragedy

A shooting in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia left two people dead Sunday evening.

Charges have been filed in a Father's Day shooting that left two women dead in the city's Overbrook section.
Officers rushed to the 2200 block of Wanamaker Road after reports of gunfire at about 7:45 p.m.
A 31-year-old woman was found shot outside the home and pronounced dead at the scene. Inside the residence, police discovered a 53-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the head.
The unidentified victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she was later pronounced dead.
The victims were reportedly attending a Father's Day celebration when shots were fired.
Police took a suspect in for questioning after locating him a block away from the shooting scene. The unidentified man is reportedly the older victim's husband.
The tragic incident remains under investigation.
