N.J. Teacher Charged For Broadcasting Lewd Sex Act

EWING, NJ (CBS 3) ― A former technology teacher at Pond Road Middle School in New Jersey pleaded guilty Tuesday to broadcasting himself masturbating via a live web camera to a 14-year-old female.

Daniel P. Corvino, 32, of Ewing, pleaded guilty before Mercer County Superior Court Judge Darlene J. Pereksta to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, a charge contained in an August 2008 indictment.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, Corvino will be sentenced to a four-year suspended sentence and be subject to parole supervision for life. In addition to forfeiting his teaching privileges, Corvino must submit to a psychological evaluation to determine if he is a repetitive and compulsive sex offender, and register as a sex offender under Megan's Law. He will also be restricted from social networking sites and ordered to have no unsupervised contact with children under 16-years of age.

Corvino was arrested and charged on February 14, 2009, at his Ewing Township home. He is free on $100,000 bail.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 29.
