Montgomery Co. Mom Tried For Son's Gun Arsenal

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (AP) ― A Montgomery County woman has been ordered to stand trial on charges that she helped her 14-year-old son build up a stash of weapons in their home.

Forty-six-year-old Michele Cossey of Plymouth Meeting is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful transfer of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a minor and two misdemeanors.

A third misdemeanor charge was dismissed at her preliminary hearing on Thursday.

Cossey's son, Dillon, is to be sentenced next week. He was arrested in October and accused of plotting a possible attack at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

A school district psychologist testified that Michelle Cossey said at a 2005 meeting with school officials about her son's emotional problems she had concerns about his obsession with the military.
