The following is a collection of events that are planned to honor Memorial Day.
SATURDAY, May 23, 2009:
Sea Isle City, N.J.
Tri For Our Veterans
Saturday, May 23
Singing of the National Anthem: 7:15 A.M.; Race start: 7:30 A.M.
JFK Boulevard and The Promenade, Sea Isle City
White Marsh Township, Pa.
White Marsh township, in conjunction with Operation Bedding, will be holding a Memorial Day Observance Saturday to honor fallen U.S. military personnel and raise funds for care packages being sent to troops actively serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Memorial Day Observance will be held May 23, starting at 8:30 a.m. with a service at St. Phillip Neri Church. Following the service there will be a rally and procession to the Plymouth/White Marsh High School, where activities will continue at 9:30 a.m.
Philadelphia, Pa.
National Day of Honor - Remembrance Day for minority WWII veterans

Doylestown, Pa.
The Mercer Museum hosts its annual Civil War Encampment on Memorial Weekend. Dozens of re-enactors will be on hand to interpret the daily drills and camp life of the Union Civil War soldier. Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sunday, May 24, from Noon-5 p.m. The Mercer Museum is located at 84 South Pine Street in Doylestown.

Delaware River Day will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Penn's Landing Marina located directly behind the Independence Seaport Museum on Columbus Blvd. at Walnut Street.

Stone Harbor Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies

96th Street Bridge to Civic Club at 96th Street & Beach (Parade route)
Media, Pa.
Kane Kalas, son of Hall of Fame broadcaster and U.S. Army veteran Harry Kalas, will sing "America the Beautiful" and read a poem honoring veterans written by his father at Media's Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 25th.
The Media Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, organized by Veteran's Legacy Project, will begin at 10:00 a.m. at State and Edgmont Streets and end with a ceremony at the courthouse expected to conclude by 11:00 a.m.

Yardley annual Memorial Day parade
May 25, 2009, starting at 11:00 am. The two-mile route starts just below I-95 bridge going South on Main Street, Yardley, to the railroad bridge (American Legion Post 317 at 215 South Main Street, Yardley, PA).
Lansdowne, Pa.
Lansdowne Memorial Day 5k Run / Walk Race
Race starts at 8:30 am on May 25, 2009 with the walk immediately following at Veterans Mini Park (across from Theater). Race runs through Central Business District and historic areas of Lansdowne.
Philadelphia, Pa.
Korean War Memorial committee
This Memorial Day, the Korean War Memorial committee is dedicating part of the memorial, located at the 38th Parallel, to soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan from the five county area of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia. A portion of the landmark, once blank, will now display the names of those who have fought and died in America's most recent overseas conflicts.
May 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the Korean War Memorial at Penn's Landing.
Warminster, Pa.
On Monday morning May 25th, VFW Post 6493 and Warminster Township will be co-sponsoring the annual Warminster Memorial Day parade. The day begins at 10:00 am at the township building with a memorial service to honor our deceased veterans. Immediately afterwards, the parade begins at the township building and proceeds to our post.
Atlantic City, N.J.
The City of Atlantic City invites bands, organizations, youth groups, military units and veterans' organizations to participate in a Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 25.
The parade will line-up at 11 am along Atlantic Avenue at Vermont Avenue and will kick-off at 12 Noon proceeding down Atlantic Avenue to Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd (MLK).
Lumberton, N.J.
On Monday May 25, the Main Street of Lumberton will be where all of the excitement is when the Memorial Day Parade comes to town. On this date Lumberton will again play host to the oldest continuously running Memorial Day Parade in the state of New Jersey. The parade will begin at 1:00 PM at the intersection of Bella Road and Main Street (on the Medford side of downtown), travel through town on Main Street; and end at the Village Green (Farm Fair location on the Mount Holly side of downtown.) Immediately following the parade, a ceremony including a performance by the Lumberton Middle School Band, will be held to honor our fallen soldiers. Lt. Col. Bradley Bridges from McGuire Air Force Base will be the guest speaker. Following the ceremony wreaths are placed on the War Memorial.
