Police are investigating a shooting outside a North Philadelphia McDonald's that left three teens hospitalized Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened at about 5:00 p.m. outside a McDonald's in the 3100 block of W. Allegheny Avenue in the city's Nicetown section.
According to police, the incident started as a fight at an area high school over a girl and ended with shots being fired at the restaurant.
Police said one group involved in the fight was leaving the McDonald's and standing in the entrance way when police say the shooter fired at his intended targets.
The gunman fired a total of four shots from outside of the restaurant.
A 17-year-old was shot in the lower back and leg. A second 17-year-old was shot in the arm and a 16-year-old was shot in the shoulder. All three were taken to Temple University Hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey told CBS3 two people are being questioned who they believe are involved in the shooting.
"It's crazy. Three people shot, there's no reason for it, period. It's just nuts. Hopefully they survive their injuries and the people that we have are the ones responsible and they're prosecuted," Ramsey said.
Investigators said they are also looking for the driver of a silver Pontiac they believe was involved in the shooting.
The shooting remains under police investigation.
