Mayor Nutter Prepping For Vacation

  Philadelphia's workaholic mayor is finally going on vacation.

Friday will be Michael Nutter's last working day at City Hall for two weeks.

Nutter hasn't taken a vacation since he announced his intention to run for mayor in 2006. He took office in January 2008 and tells KYW-AM that "it's been pretty busy over the past two years." He says his decision to take a little rest and relaxation time is more at the insistence of his top aides than his wife.

Nutter and his people won't say where he is going, but he does hint that he won't be completely out of touch. He says his BlackBerrys "pretty much go wherever" he goes.
