Priest Struck By Alleged Drunk Driver In Northeast

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A priest was hospitalized after being struck by an alleged drunk driver in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday evening.

Pastor Joseph Accari was struck by a minivan outside St. Bernard's Church near the intersection of Cottage Street and Bleigh Avenue.

Pastor Accardi was taken to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital with broken ribs. He is reportedly listed in stable condition.

The driver of the minivan was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The accident remains under police investigation.
