Hero Thrill Show Postponed Due To Hanna

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―

Those anticipating the arrival of the Hero Thrill show at the Wachovia Complex will have to wait a couple more weeks.

The high energy outdoor display which features the Highway Patrol Motorcycle Drill Team, Firefighters In Action, Bicycles Unit Demonstrations, Canine and SWAT Exhibitions has been postponed until September 20 due to expected heavy weather brought on by Tropical Storm Hanna.

The annual fund raising event will be reintroduced to the Philadelphia area where it first began in 1954.

All proceeds raised from the event support the education of the survivors of those killed in the line of duty protecting Philadelphia.

Tickets are still on sale for the September 20 event and any tickets bearing the September 6, 2008 date will be honored on the rescheduled date.
