Lifeguard Saves Elderly Woman From Drowning

DELAWARE (CBS 3) ―

A lifeguard rescued an 89-year-old woman from the Green Acres community pool in Delaware Friday afternoon.

The victim was found floating face down in the deep end of the pool and the lifeguard, Jocelyn Bowman, pulled the elderly woman from the water and found she was not breathing.

Bowman performed rescue breaths on the victim, causing her to cough the water out of her lungs and begin breathing on her own.

The victim was transported to the Christiana hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
