Two suspects are in police custody and third remains on the loose following a brazen home invasion in Delaware County Friday afternoon.
Police said a 48-year-old homeowner was bound with duct tape during the daylight incident on William Howard Drive in Glen Mills.
According to police, a female homeowner was confronted by two masked suspects in her bedroom at about 12:30 p.m.
One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and they forced the victim at gunpoint to open a safe inside the home. The suspects stole jewelry, cash and the victim's ATM card.
The suspects then fled the scene in a car driven by a female suspect.
At about 2:30 p.m., the vehicle was spotted by police in the Kensington section of Philadelphia after the suspects attempted to use the victim's ATM card.
Two suspects, identified as 20-year-old William Rivera Jr. and 31-year-old Tasha Bukton, both of Philadelphia, were taken into custody. A third female suspect remains on the loose.
According to a preliminary investigation, police believe the home was chosen at random.
The suspect's car was towed to the State Police barracks in Lima, Delaware County Friday afternoon. Investigators said they found items stolen from the home inside the car.
The female homeowner was not physically harmed during the incident.
