Garrett Reid Back In Court On Drug Charges

NORRISTOWN (CBS 3) ―

Garrett Reid, the eldest son of Eagles head coach Andy Reid, was in court Friday following the discovery of pills in his Montgomery County jail cell.

The 24-year-old, who was incarcerated for a probation violation, waived his right to a preliminary hearing in connection with the November 1 incident.

Police said over 80 pills of various prescription drugs, including Adderall and Xanax, were found in his cell.

Detectives spoke with Reid's cellmate, who apparently witnessed Reid removing a plastic bag containing the pills from his rectum. The cellmate said Reid offered him some of the prescription medication, which he declined.

Reid and his brother Britt, 22, were sentenced on November 1 for separate traffic incidents that occurred on the same day.

If convicted, Garrett Reid could face up to 10 years in prison on the new charges.
