3-Alarm Fire Destroys Camden Warehouse

CAMDEN (CBS 3) ― A vacant warehouse was destroyed during a massive three-alarm fire in Camden Sunday.

Firefighters were called to an abandoned warehouse on the 1200 block of Linden Street just before 4 p.m.

Neighbors watched as crews worked for over an hour to prevent the flames from moving to nearby brush and homes.

"When I first saw it was a big old fire and all of a sudden it started popping out. The fire started coming out," eyewitness Kaleem Bailey said, "I thought it was going to spread all the way over here."

A portion of the Admiral Wilson Boulevard was shut down during the fire. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The building is expected to be a complete loss.
