Fairmount Park Rape Victim Speaks Out For Justice

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Philadelphia police have been searching for the Fairmount Park rapist, a man who prowls on women for four long years.

One of his victims spoke out for the first time since the latest attack.

When one of one of Philadelphia's most notorious criminals found his fourth victim in an August rape of a 29-year-old woman in Pennypack Park he ended a near four-year long silence that dates back to Lisa.

"It, it breaks my heart that another woman had to be touched by such evil and I feel like I know what she's going through.  The one part of me is just so angry, so, so angry that he is still out there.  My heart just went out to her and I wanted to reach out and say there's tons of help out there," Lisa said.

Lisa fights for help with Witness Justice, a non-profit Washington D.C. based group that helps victims with the long and short term financial and emotional support they need after suffering through an traumatic event.

"I had to use all my savings to support myself until I was ready to work again.  I lost my job," Lisa said.

The Fairmount Park rapist is wanted in connection to the rape and murder of medical student Rebecca Park, the rape of 21-year-old woman who was jogging in Fairmount Park, the rape and stabbing of Lisa who was also jogging in Fairmount Park and also the latest victim who was attacked in Pennypack Park.

"Philadelphia is a small community that takes care of one another and we're going to find him," Lisa said.
