DRPA Considers Toll Hike
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) ―
The agency that runs four bridges between Pennsylvania
and New Jersey is considering a
toll hike.
The Delaware River Port Authority says it will begin
public hearings on the possible hike in January.
Agency officials say they are struggling to pay debt and
work on capital projects, such as bridge resurfacing at the same time.
The DRPA adopted an operating budget Wednesday that did
not have toll increases. But officials say some will be needed in the future.
The tolls, paid only by Pennsylvania-bound
motorists, are $3.
