Delaware Co. Police Nab Alleged Copper Thieves

EDDYSTONE, Pa. (CBS 3) ― Three suspects were taken into custody in Delaware County for allegedly stealing copper and other equipment.

Kimberly Dougherty, Shane Whitaker and Kevin Steward have been charged in the June 29 alleged theft.

According to investigators, the suspects were in a van stopped by Eddystone police officers on Sloan Street on Monday.

Inside the vehicle, officers found pieces of wire, tools and electrical equipment that was allegedly stolen from Radio Communications on the 900 block of Eddystone Avenue.

Dougherty, Whitaker and Steward are facing several charges and are in custody pending an arraignment hearing.
