Sara Meyer lost her apartment and all her possessions in the flames, but she held out hope that her missing dog would be found safe amongst the rubble.
"We have a lot of hope," she said.
Late Friday morning, Meyer got some great news as she was reunited with her puppy Tilly, who was uninjured aside from a bit of hunger and dehydration.
Hundreds of other residents left homeless by the blaze are hoping investigators will soon release more information into what sparked the fire.
Officials believe the fire began in a building under construction near the complex. While there is no official cause, it is reportedly believed an acetylene torch may have been involved.
The fire appears to be accidental, but further details have not been released.
