If you're a fan of the circus, now's your chance to get in on the act! This weekend marks the grand opening of the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts.
"People can come to train on the trapeze, the ropes, they can juggle and walk the tight rope," said Shana Kennedy, owner of Philadelphia School of Circus Arts.
The event will feature demonstrations by professional artists and students as well as free one-hour classes.
"It's going to be a huge event with hundreds of people coming through," said Kennedy.
And whether you're a toddler or an elder, there's something for everyone.
"Almost anyone can find something to do here at the school. There is a huge range of students from 3-year-olds to 63-year-olds," explained Kennedy.
The little ones will learn the basics of circus arts including coordination and balance. Adult students will progress based on their own individual ability.
"We have classes that address people who are complete beginners and just want to get in shape to professional performers and artists," said Kennedy.
Either way, the circus has come to town and it's here to stay.
