Investigators are attempting to figure out how a pickup truck ended up in a backyard swimming pool of Lower Providence home.

A bizarre accident in Montgomery County Tuesday afternoon gave a whole new meaning to the term "carpool."
Investigators are attempting to figure out how a pickup truck ended up in a backyard swimming pool of a Lower Providence home.
According to police, the car somehow veered off the road and came to rest in a pool of a home in the 8000 block of Fairview Lane.
Emergency crews had to cut the roof off of the truck in order to get the driver out of the vehicle. The unidentified driver is expected to be OK.
Once the driver was removed from the car, it took crews several hours to drag the truck out of the pool.
The incident remains under investigation.
