Borgata Going Smoke-Free In The Fall
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) ―
Atlantic City's
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will go smoke-free indoors his fall.
But its patrons will be able to smoke in one of
several outdoor, heated, semi-enclosed smoking lounges the casino is planning
to build.
The lounges would comply with a new ordinance
banning smoking on the casino floor.
Borgata's president says the company will also
do a massive renovation of its 2,000 hotel rooms. The two-year project will update
decor and furniture in all the Borgata's hotel rooms and common areas.
The work will come just five years after the
Borgata opened in 2003.
