Police Search For Center City Bandit
Suspect Wanted For Five Robberies in Four Months
PHILADELPHIA (FBI - Philadelphia Division) ―
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking the public to help identify the individual alleged to be responsible for the robbery of the HSBC Bank located at 1515 Market Street in Philadelphia.
The robbery took place on Friday, May 16, 2008 at approximately 2:00 p.m. The robber entered the bank and approached the counter.
He presented the teller with a threatening demand note for money. Upon obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank. There were no injuries.
The subject is described as a black male in his 40's, approximately 5' 10" tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds with a medium complexion, a mustache, close cropped hair and a receding hairline.
He was wearing large framed eye glasses, a hooded black jacket, blue jeans and brown boots.
The HSBC robbery marks the bandit's fifth hold-up in four months. All of his previous bank robberies have been in the center city area of 1500 Market and 1600 Walnut, including Conestoga Bank, Firstrust Bank and TD Bank North.
