Gamblers in Atlantic City are giving mixed reviews to news that 7 of the city's 11 casinos plan to soon go totally smoke-free on their gambling floors.
That's in response to a law city officials passed last year that restricts smoking in casinos.
The casinos will create smoking lounges where gambling will not be offered. Thus, patrons wishing to light up will
have to leave the roulette wheel, card table or slot machine and walk into one of the enclosed areas.
Some gamblers blasts the idea, saying the two things gamblers do are "gamble and smoke."
But others, including former smokers, love the idea.
They say the smoke sometimes gets so thick at the gaming tables that they can't breathe.
