Mom In Custody After Stabbing Young Son

According to police a 12-year-old boy was stabbed by his mother at the Telford Green Apartments in Lehigh County Tuesday afternoon.

A Montgomery County mother is undergoing a mental health evaluation after allegedly stabbing her 12-year-old son in their Telford apartment Tuesday.
The woman's son called police after being stabbed three times in the back at the Telford Green Apartment complex at about 12:15 p.m.
Police said the 34-year-old female apparently attacked her son with a kitchen knife. He was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel before being airlifted to Lehigh Medical Center.
The mother barricaded herself inside her residence, prompting the activation of the North Penn Tactical Response Team.
She was taken into custody after briefly opening the door to look outside. The mother was transported to Lansdale Hospital for a medical and mental health evaluation.
Police said charges are pending.
