Bethlehem Standoff Ends In Suicide

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (CBS 3) ― Bethlehem Police say a man who barricaded himself inside his home for several hours took his own life Tuesday afternoon.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene on Third Avenue around 4:15 p.m.

An Emergency Response Team says they entered the home and found the unidentified man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The standoff led to the temporary lockdown of nearby schools.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
