In Ocean City, Meteorologist Kathy Orr spoke with author Cindy Fortunato who just published her first book called: "Sammy's Adventures In Ocean City New Jersey".

Cindy, who is from Reading, Pa., based the book on her childhood memories of her family vacations in Ocean City.

Her best friend Amy McIntyre did the colorful illustrations.

A portion of the book sales goes to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Cindy's five year old daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and Cindy wants to do what she can to promote awareness of the disease.

Freckle Contest

Of the many adventures to be had in Ocean City, one is the Freckle Contest.

Contestants brought out their best freckles for the competition held on July 2.

The Freckle Contest is just one of many summer fun events happening every Thursday for Family Night from now until Labor Day.
