Mummers Offer Sneak Preview At Convention Center

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Governor Rendell was in attendance for a sneak preview of this year's Mummers Parade at the Pennsylvania Convention Center Monday night.

The Mummers final group, The Fancy Brigade, offered a sneak peek at their performance for the New Year's Day parade.

Eleven brigades performed their four-and-a-half-minute routine with music and floats for just a three dollar entrance fee.

The first annual Friend of the Mummers Award was presented to Governor Ed Rendell at Monday's event as well.

The Fancy Brigades are unique in that they conduct two indoor shows at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on New Year's Day in addition to marching that day in the Mummers Parade.
