Budgets may be a little tighter these days, but many area residents are sparing no expense when it comes to putting together a delicious holiday meal.
Tradition appears to trump savings when it comes to Easter dinner, as many local bakeries, butchers and candy makers say business is booming.
"Actually, I'm buying more candy than usual," said a customer at Blasius Chocolates in Port Richmond.
The handmade sweet treats used to fill Easter baskets are flying off the shelves due to their affordability and deliciousness.
Lines wrapped around the block at Czerw's Thursday as customers clamored for the famous fresh kielbasa.
Meat is also a major motivation for Marlton residents who are expected to turn out in droves to get their hands on some Heavenly Ham.
DelBuono's Bakery has been baking throughout the night as their ice raisin bread, Easter bread and famous rolls are a cheap must have for locals.
"Our rolls over here are only $2.87 a dozen, really, really cheap," said Nino DelBuono.
