CHERRY HILL (CBS 3) ―
Last minute shoppers are scrambling to get in some last minute shopping at
malls across the Delaware Valley
with Christmas only four days away.
According to the National Retail Federation, one in five men haven't started
shopping for Christmas gifts yet.
The Cherry Hill mall was packed with men holding
shopping bags looking for find the perfect gift.
"I always wait until the last minute because I am lazy I guess,"
said Michael Trussler from Cherry Hill, N.J.
A majority of the male shoppers aren't used to the holiday hustle and bustle
and many were seen at the information desk asking for help.
"A lot of men are coming up her asking where Victoria's
Secret is," said a woman working at the Information Desk.
The King Of Prussia Mall in Montgomery
County was so packed that the
parking lot was full by 9:30 a.m.
Friday morning.
Shoppers were snapping up gifts at King of
Prussia at a furious pace and saving time to take photos with
Santa.
"Everyone rushes in at Thanksgiving and then they relax and
this week is when the panic begins," said one shopper.
According to sources, retailers are expected to see a 4 percent
increase in sales.
The week after Christmas is projected to be just as busy as
the last minute rush the week before.
