Haddonfield Celebrates Family On New Year's Eve
HADDONFIELD, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
Haddonfield residents are celebrating the New Year with fun
filled events for the whole family.
The quiet New Jersey
town is holding its tenth annual First Night New Year's Eve Celebration.
First Night is an alcohol-free, family oriented street party
and countdown to 2008, complete with 50 performances.
There will also be two fireworks shows, one at 9 p.m. and midnight.
"They do a 9 p.m. countdown which is perfect for families
with small children," said father, George Haitsch.
CBS 3's Cydney Long was in the festive New
Jersey neighborhood asking folks what their New Year's
resolutions were.
"To be nicer to my brothers," said 12-year-old, Jamie
Goldberg.
"I don't want to eat too much chocolate. I guess that is
what my New Year's resolution is," said Claire Haitsch of Haddonfield.
