Santa Makes Special Deliveries On Christmas Day

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS 3) ― Postman Craig Berman is used to wearing a uniform, but once a year he dresses a little differently to deliver the mail.

He may need a pillow for a little extra padding, but once he had the suit on it was as if he was born to be Santa.

"This time of year it's nice to have some nice feel good stories. It gives you like a warm feeling inside," Santa Mail Carrier Craig Beram said.

If you want to get it there on Christmas Day the USPS is the only agency delivering and if you live in Cherry Hill, Santa himself delivered.

Once the sleigh was loaded up Berman was off and his first delivery was to none other than invincible himself former Eagle Vince Papale.

"How did we get so lucky to have Santa here today? Santa has a package for Vince today," Papale said.

It seemed mom's Christmas gift from the kids made it in just the nick of time.

"I thought my friend Rocco was playing a joke on us it'd be the kind of thing he'd do, but then when I saw the United States Postal truck I thought wait a minute these guys aren't working are they," Papale said.

It seems more people were nice than naughty as Santa has plenty of stops to make today.  And he wasn't just delivering packages, but bringing a little holiday cheer as well.

"It was a full moon we kept checking online to see where he was and when he would hit Cherry Hill and then we fell asleep and now he's here," said Adrian Jewett, who received a Christmas package.

And that is the best Christmas gift of all.
