Delaware health officials say there are now 10 confirmed cases of swine flu in the state, along with 16 probable cases.
All the confirmed cases and all but two of the probable cases involve University of Delaware students. Health officials said Saturday that the other two probable cases involve school-age children.
As a result, Delaware will close its first school as a result of the outbreak. Baltz Elementary School in Elsmere will be closed Monday and likely will remain closed for several days.
The other school-age case involves a student at the First State School. Only 15 students attend that school, which is held at Wilmington Hospital for students who have chronic health problems.
That school will remain open.
