Green Scene: Finding Green Coupons
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
In today's economy, it's not easy buying green.
Green products sometimes costs more.
But there are ways to cut back on the
costs.
Pam Hudson likes organic foods, just not the prices.
Now before Hudson hits the supermarket, she hits her
computer.
On sites such as GoGreenDeals.com, PristinePlanet.com, and
Ecobunga.com, you'll find the latest green coupons.
Some you can print and take with you.
Others are codes you can use online.
"Some of them are fifty cents, a dollar, even
more," said Hudson,
"and because they're constantly refreshed, I get to try new products all
the time. "
The sites have everything from grocery store staples to
eco-friendly clothing to cleaning supplies, said Karen Schiff of Ecobunga.com.
"We look for products that conserve water, save
energy, that support organic farming," said Schiff.
If you think you might miss a bargain, many sites such as
GoGreenDeals.com offer email newsletters to keep you in the know.
The sites say they check every offer and follow the
guidelines of groups such as Green America and the National Resources Defense
Council.
