New Philly Waterfront Restaurant Hosting Job Fair

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A former waterfront destination is getting a new name, a new look and is searching for a few new employees.

OCTO Waterfront Grille is taking over the Columbus Boulevard location of Rock Lobster, which closed its doors in 2007.

In preparation for a Memorial Day opening weekend, OCTO is hosting a job fair at the Hyatt Penn's Landing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Operators are hoping fill every position from bar back to kitchen staff to security.

Clark Mahoney, who managed Rock Lobster until 2002, is heading up the new waterfront restaurant/club.

Once up and running, OCTO will serve lunch and dinner everyday with live music and DJs featured Wednesday to Sunday. The space is said to include three bars, two lounges and a dining room set for hundreds.
