A career criminal charged in the death of a Philadelphia Police officer was transferred to a correctional facility after spending several weeks in the hospital.
Rasheed Scrugs, 33, is accused of fatally shooting 25-year-old Officer John Pawlowski with a .357 magnum on February 13.
Scrugs was allegedly attempting to rob a cab driver at Broad Street and Olney Avenue when officers arrived. Police said he fired several shots from inside his jacket, killing Officer Pawlowski.
