Fallen Officer Honored In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A fallen Philadelphia Police Officer was honored Sunday.

Sergeant Timothy Simpson's family accepted the bronze medal from the Four Chaplins Memorial Foundation of South Philadelphia.

Simpson's wife accepted the award with tears in her eyes as she was embraced by Commissioner Ramsey.

Sgt. Simpson was killed November 17th, 2008 when an alleged drunk driver struck his police cruiser.
