Off. Pawlowski Remembered at Phillies Game

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Tailgaters outside Citizens Bank Park raised money for the family of a slain Philadelphia police officer, John Pawlowski.

Officers sold T-shirts and served food in the Jetro Warehouse parking lot across the street from Citizens Bank Park.

Pawlowski's wife Kim, who gave birth to his first child after his death, was at the tailgate event with their baby.  She was to throw the first pitch of the evening's game between the Phillies and the Atlanta Braves.

Officer Pawlowski, 25, was fatally shot in the line of duty February 13.  Rasheed Scrugs, 33, is accused of fatally shooting Pawlowski.  Police say Scrugs was attempting to rob a cab driver at Broad Street and Olney Avenue when Officer Pawlowski arrived and Scrugs fired a .357 Magnum.   Scrugs has been charged with murder.
