Wizard World Soars Into Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
It's time to dust off that cape and tights as Wizard World has returned to Philadelphia for the weekend.
Comic fans of all ages are soaring into the Pennsylvania Convention Center for the annual event featuring dozens of guest appearances and a highly unique atmosphere.
This year's guest of honor is famed writer Garth Ennis, but attendees can also meet and greet actors like Edward James Olmos, Kristanna Loken, "Hellboy 2" star Doug Jones as well as "World War Z" author Max Brooks.
Would-be artists can have their work reviewed by the pros at Marvel and those with a knack for dressing up can compete in the always entertaining costume competition.
If you get bored browsing the thousands of items available on the show floor, you can get schooled during one of the numerous lectures going on during the weekend or even take on a UFC fighter at the Video Game Expo.
Wizard World Philadelphia runs until 7 p.m. Fruday and reopens Saturday at 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. On Sunday, doors open at 11 a.m. and the event comes to a close at 5 p.m.
