TV personality Star Jones has filed for divorce from Al Reynolds after three and a half years of marriage, Entertainment Tonight reports.
The papers were filed on March 26 in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan where they were marked as an "Uncontested Matrimonial" case by the court and the records were sealed.
"Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce," Jones told ET in a statement. "The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman."
Reynolds, 39, and Jones were married in a lavish ceremony in New York on Nov. 13, 2004. Jones was criticized for talking incessantly about her wedding plans and plugging the event's sponsors on "The View" in the months leading up to the wedding.
She appeared on the ABC chat fest as a co-host from 1997 through June 27, 2006, when she left to start her own show on Court TV. The show was taken off the air in February after the cable network morphed into truTV. She is also the author of two books.
