Detectives in Wilmington have announced the arrest of a man in connection with two murders that occurred in September of 2008.

Michael T. Washington, 23, was indicted by a New Castle County Grand Jury on Monday and was officially charged with the murders of Amin Guy, 31, and Francis Leighton, 38. Both men were gunned down while sitting in a car on the 700 block of E. 10th Street in Newark.

Washington, currently serving a sentence in the James T. Vaugh Correction Institute in Smyrna on an unrelated charge, was charged with two counts of robbery and murder in addition to the illegal possession of a firearm.
