Vineland Mom's 'Price Is Right' Experience
VINELAND, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
A Vineland woman's daughter was one of the latest contestants on "The Price Is Right" to make it to the showcase showdown.
Shari Severns, a former Vineland resident who now lives in Las Vegas, and her sisters, took their mom, Claudia Capelli, to California to be a part of the studio audience to watch the popular game show hosted by Drew Carey.
Capelli says she never dreamed someone from her group would be plucked from the audience to participate in the game.
The women, seated directly behind contestants row, were surprised when Shari's name was announced to "Come on down!" She was the second person to make it to contestant's row and the first to make it on stage.
Claudia's daughter lost the "pick a number" game, but spun the wheel and made it to the showcase showdown, where she was outbid. She may have lost the game, but her mom said the time with her family and the experience made it all worth it.
"Everything was just so good and it's so memorable," said Claudia. 'I'll never forget, never forget."
"The Price Is Right" airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on CBS 3.
