The Philadelphia Archdiocese closed a Chester County high school after five confirmed cases of Swine Flu.
Authorities confirmed Bishop Shanahan High School has five confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus. A letter was sent home to parents last week informing them of the illnesses.
Officials said 393 students, approximately 30 percent of the student population, were absent Friday. The school also forfeited a game against Coatesville as 27 football players had fallen ill.
The school will be closed Monday for "additional thorough sanitization."
All weekend extracurricular activities and sporting events were also postponed.
The closure of Bishop Shanahan comes only two days after officials closed
Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor after one student was confirmed as having the H1N1 virus.
