A former employee of a security company is facing dozens of charges in connection with a rash of offices robberies throughout Chester County.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman said 31-year-old Kevin Mack is facing charges of burglary and related offenses for nearly 50 break-ins throughout Plymouth, Whitpain, Upper Merion and Tredyffrin townships.
Mack used to work for a security firm that monitored buildings in the area and authorities believe he used his knowledge of various alarm systems to avoid capture.
"He felt he could get in without being caught, and so he used the skills that he had to break in, steal things, get some money," Ferman said.
Mack allegedly stole televisions, computer equipment and removed cash from vending machines in the buildings. He was taken into custody in August while breaking-into a Plymouth Township office.
He is being held on $500,000 bail.
