Man Struck Twice On Garden State Parkway

MAYVILLE, N.J. (CBS 3) ― Traffic was brought to a standstill on the Garden State Parkway for hours after an accident Friday morning.

Chopper 3 HD was over the northbound lanes of the Parkway approaching the Stone Harbor exit where the crash occurred at about 9 a.m.

Police said Frederick Davis, 65 of West Wildwood, NJ, was hit by a vehicle at least twice. Reportedly, Davis was first hit, then got back into his vehicle, drove about a mile and exited his vehicle again for unknown reasons where he was stuck a second time.

He was rushed to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Traffic was diverted off the roadway while authorities investigated the accident.
